Gameweek 19 Transfer Tips✅ - New Year, New Fixtures🎆

Gameweek 19 Transfer Tips

In this week’s blog, I’ll be sharing key transfer tips and essential information ahead of Gameweek 19, which includes the last fixtures of the year and the first fixtures of 2026. To celebrate the special occasion, I believe we can expect fixtures which provide fireworks and plenty of action. I’ll also review how my recommended players performed in Gameweek 17, before breaking down how I plan to set up my own team for the upcoming round.

Review of Gameweek 17 Suggestions

Once again, my selections last time out were a mixed bunch with first of all, Rayan Cherki banking himself 4 points in a 3-0 victory vs West Ham. He put in a scintillating performance and for the guts of 90 minutes had his defenders on strings and in turn he was rewarded with 1 bonus point, however failed to contribute directly to any goals. On the other hand, unfortunately Harry Wilson blanked for the first time in 5 weeks and Lewis Miley only gained 4 points, similarly to Cherki, gaining additional points for defensive contributions. On a more positive note, my final suggestion, Nico O'Reilly helped Man City achieve a clean sheet and so managed to put up a respectable 6 point performance.

Week 19 Transfer Tips

Matheus Cunha will be making his second appearance in quick succession against his former club Wolverhampton Wanderers this Tuesday. With key forwards such as Mbeumo and Diallo missing with AFCON, the Brazilian's minutes are up and with 3g/a's in his last 4 matches, he is a player in fine form. In terms of Wolves, they are yet to keep a clean sheet all season and are by far the worst performing side and so it is logical to target them. When teams have faced off against them, on only two occassions has a team failed to have a player not have double digit point haul and I believe that Matheus will be the man to fill the boots of the missing players and deliver a masterclass.👺

As of late, Hugo Ekitike has began to perform incredibly well and with Alexander Isak's potential leg break vs Tottenham, Hugo is expected to gain increased minutes for a long period of time. Statistically, only Daniel Sturridge has had a better goalscoring start to his Liverpool career and in Liverpool's last fixture against Leeds United, he managed to score twice in what was a goal packed game. Leeds have only obtained two clean sheets all season, with the latest coming in gameweek 3, all the way back in August and with the Frenchman chasing the 10 goal mark, I expect him to add to his impressive form of 40 points in the last 4 fixtures. 🔴

I was hesitant at first to jump on the Keane-Lewis Potter bandwagon after his 21 point haul vs Wolves in gameweek 18, however, with Brentford's impressive form and with Potter being listed as a defender in FPL despite often playing as a winger for the Bee's, he is a strong option. He will be facing off against Spurs this week, who are known for being very inconsistent and often leaky in defence. Despite Tottenham's latest victory vs Crystal Palace, they often struggle to perform back-to-back, only managing to do so once this season which was way back in gameweeks 1 and 2. Even despite his recent spike in points lately, Potter still only has a 1.6% ownership and with no red fixtures in his next three games, there is a lot of opportunity for points.🔴⚪

My final suggestion for the upcoming gameweek is no other than Chelsea captain Reece James, who when he surpasses his injury problems, is a key factor for Chelsea. He has already played in nearly as much games this season as he did all of the 2024/2025 season and furthermore, he has already doubled his g/a's just halfway into the season. Particularly in recent weeks, the England international has come to form with 2 clean sheets and 2g/a's in his last 4 fixtures and he managed to see out all 90 minutes in all  of these games. With Enzo Maresca making more use of him in forwards positions, even playing him as a central midfielder in certain games, his final third output is increasing and coming up against Bournemouth, who are winless in their last 9 matches there is an opportunity for points all across the board.🔵

Since gameweek 17, I have made two changed to my squad, this includes transferring in Hugo Ekitike and Anton Stach for Danny Welback and Enzo Fernandez and these changes were simply made due to Danny Welback's reduced minutes as he delt with injury problems and Enzo was dailing to produce any real points. The following changes to my team as it is prepared for gameweek 19 can be viewed below:

Gameweek 17 Transfer Tips✅

⚽Gameweek 17 Transfer Tips⚽

In this weeks blog I will be providing you all with transfer tips and important information for gameweek 17. Additionally, I will be going through how my suggested players performed last time out in gameweek 13 and how I will be lining up my own team.

Review of Gameweek 13 Suggestions

For the large part, my transfer tips last time out were rather unsuccessful with first of all Rogers only gaining 3 points as Aston Villa managed to win, but only by a 1 goal margin with Morgan only getting extra points for helping achieve a clean sheet. Daniel Ballard, similarly picked up 3 points as Sunderland maintained their impressive home form and Jarrod Bowen blanked against Liverpool who managed to keep a clean sheet after losing their previous 4 away premier league fixtures. On a more positive note, Igor Thiago was the star of the show against Burnley as he bagged himself 2 goals and an astonishing 13 point haul as the Brazilian striker continues to push his name in contention for the Brazil World Cup squad.

Week 17 Transfer Tips

19 year old Lewis Miley has recently made a big case to be in Newcastle's starting 11, with recent goals in the Carabao Cup, the Champions League and a goal and an assist against Everton in gameweek 13, with this being his first full 90 minutes since gameweek 5 in the league. The teenager has a very well-rounded game and can contribute on both ends and with him now earning more minutes under Eddie Howe, Lewis will be eager to prove with worth and keep producing strong outputs. Coming in at just £4.4m, with only 2.4% ownership, Miley could prove to be a strong differential pick. With Newcastle facing off against Chelsea in the early kick-off on Saturday, I back Newcastle to pull of an upsets and further dampen the Blue's title challenge with Miley being a driving factor towards achieving this result. ⚫⚪

Rayan Cherki has been producing very quality performances whilst flying under the radar to begin his Manchester City career. With him being 2nd in assists provided this season in the league, second to only Bruno Fernandes, he has a clear eye for a killer pass as well as exceptional flair. In the premier league he currently averages a goal or an assist every 70 minutes and with recent goals in the Carabao Cup Quarter-Final as well as 3 assists in his last 2 games, he is a player in top form. However, with the problem of 'Pep Roulette' and his constant changing of the starting line-up, the Frenchman's minutes haven't been what he would have hoped for so far this season and this may prohibit his points tallies certain weeks. With a home fixture against struggling West Ham this weekend, I except him to get a good runout and be involved in creating goals especially with Man City's current run of 21 goals in their last 7 Premier League games, dropping points only on one of these occasions.🩵

Harry Wilson is another player who is on top form. The Welshman is an established Premier League player who oozes quality and in recent weeks has even gained comparisons to Welsh legend Gareth Bale due to his technical capabilities. Wilson is this week's most transferred in player and rightfully so, with 7 g/a's in his last 3 appearances including 2 assists against a strong Manchester City defence in what was almost a comeback story for the ages. With 2 green listed fixtures coming up next for Wilson, it is expected for his form to continue on and at just 5.6m he is still a relatively cheap option for your squad.⚪⚫

Nico O'Reilly has established himself as Manchester City's starting left back this season after continuously producing on both ends of the pitch this season. With 4 g/a's so far and 2 consecutive clean sheets, the 20 year old is in fine form and really stating his case for being the starting left back for England at the World Cup. With his recent goal in the Champions League against Real Madrid, his name is on the lips of most footballs fans and people are finally beginning to realise his worth. Coming in at 5.3m, he is an absolute steal and is worth picking up. Nico is facing up against a West Ham side who are winless in their last 5 league games and I can visualise him picking up a solid points tally. ðŸ©µ

Since gameweek 13, I have made a total of 6 changes to my team, making the most of the 5 free transfers that were provided to me. The high majority of these changes were made due to injury risks and with players such as Mbeumo and Ndiaye heading to AFCON, it was necessary to make changes. The following changes to my team as it is prepared for gameweek 17 can be viewed below:
