⚽Gameweek 13 Transfer Tips⚽
After a short break, I am back to provide you all with more transfer tips, this time for gameweek 13 as the last fixtures of November are rapidly approaching.
Review of Gameweek 8 Suggestions
The five transfers which I suggested throughout my last blog post turned out to be a mixed bunch, with both positive and negative performances. To begin with both Woltemade produced a strong return as he scored a beautiful flick past Verbruggen as Newcastle went on to lose 2-1 vs Brighton. Additionally, he was given 2 bonus points giving him a total return of 8 points. Bukayo wasn't able to score or assist vs Fulham, however he scored 7 points, gaining both defensive contribution points and bonus points as Arsenal went on to win 1-0. On a more contrary note, Santiago and Salah combined for only 3 points, meanwhile Enzo didn't pass fitness tests and so didn't feature for Chelsea.
Week 13 Transfer Tips
Morgan Rogers underwent a struggling start to the 2025/2026 Premier League Campaign, going goalless until gameweek 8 when his stunning right footed strike eased past Vicario in the Spurs goal. Last time out vs Leeds he produced a worthy MOTM performance which consisted of a brace, with one of the goals being a beautiful freekick which left the goalkeeper rooted to the spot. This week, his Aston Villa side host bottom of the league Wolverhampton who already look dead and buried as far as their survival hopes go and so I expect Rogers to further dampen their sprit by continuing his form this week, having already gained an assist in Villa's midweek Europa League victory over Young Boys.🟣🔵
Igor Thiago came into the league with massive boots to fill with Wissa getting his big money move to the Toon and so far, he has proved a massive success with 9 goals in his opening 12 games including braces against United and Newcastle and even a goal against the reigning champions Liverpool. Despite being the 2nd top scorer in the league, Igor currently only has a 19.4% ownership and so can prove to be a differential pick as well as a cheap one, only costing £6.5m. In gameweek 13, Brentford will be hosting Burnley on Saturday at 3pm, and with Burnley being on the back of 3 consecutive defeats and having conceded the 3rd most goals so far this season, I believe they will struggle to deal with the 6ft 2 Brazilian and if anyone is likely to deal damage to the Clarets it is likely to be Igor as he has scored exactly 50% of their goals this season and he will be desperate to right his wrongs having missed a crucial penalty which led to dropped points last time out vs Brighton.🔴⚪
West Ham had a real struggling start to the season, picking up just 4 points within the first 9 gameweeks, however, 7 points from their last 3 matches, they seem to regained their confidence again under new manager Nuno Santo. Facing off against a Liverpool side who are on their worst run of form since 1953 with just 3 wins in their last 12 matches in all competitions, I believe Jarrod Bowen will be able to greatly impact this game and pick up a decent haul. Despite blanking in West Ham's 2 victories and only picking up defensive contribution points vs Bournemouth, before that he was involved in 4 out of 7 of the Hammer's goals throughout the season and especially with teammate Kyle-Walker Peters robbing him of a tap in last time out, the Englishman will be hungrier than ever to write his name on the scoresheet. ⚒
For a defender selection, I would advise going for Daniel Ballard who is a cheap option only coming in at £4.6m and a 3.3% ownership. Sunderland face off against Bournemouth at the Stadium of Light, which so far this season has proven to be a fortress as the newly promoted side have gone unbeaten there so far, most recently grabbing a 2-2 draw vs current league leaders Arsenal. In that very game, 'Big Dan Ballard' popped up with a goal and an assist in a massive 10 point haul. This weekend, he is facing off against a Bournemouth side who are struggling for form with 1 win in their last 5 and with starman Antoine Semenyo still being a doubt after having missed the 2 previous fixtures, the Cherries attack could well be weakened once again. Bournemouth have also recorded the 4th most corners in the division so far, meawhile Ballard himself has won the 5th most aerial duels and so it is likely that he will be in contention for defensive contribution points.⚫🐈
Since gameweek 8, I have made numerous changes to my own squad and have received rather varied results as I have scored an average of 44.5 points since then, having achieved under the average points tally on 2 out of 4 gameweeks and in the overall rankings I have dropped. The following changes to my team as it is prepared for gameweek 13 with the bench boost chip active can be viewed below:
