A look into my FPL so far - International Break Special

⚽My Fantasy Journey So Far⚽

With there being no Premier League fixtures this week due to the International break, I will not be providing any tips as of yet, but instead providing a segment on my team's status. With 7 gameweeks having been played, I find myself currently sitting at 695,914th place in the world and 5346th in Northern Ireland. Out of the 7 game weeks, I have finished above the average points tally 4/7 times, although I have already used the triple captain, wildcard and free hit chips which I won't be able to use again until after gameweek 19, putting me at a in a disadvantageous position to those managers who are yet to use as many chips.

My Current Team

Top Performers so Far

Erling Haaland has scored in all but one of his Premier League games so far, racking up a total of 9 goals along with 1 assist. Despite being worth £14.5m he has been every bit worth it as he has been averaging 10 points per gameweek to start off the season. He is without a doubt my clear captain choice and it is very likely that his output will remain at this level throughout the entire season🔵

Antoine Semenyo has definitely been the breakthrough star of the season so far for Bournemouth having 9 goals and assists which is already half of what he achieved throughout all last season. After transferring him in for gameweek 4 he has already bagged 2 double figure hauls and overall he just looks like a man on a mission thus far 🍒

Biggest Transfer Mistakes

Mohammed Kudus hit the ground running to start the season with Spurs, however, with the addition of Xavi Simons to the squad I thought his minutes would take a hit and so made the swap. Since then, he has continued to perform and has played 80+ minutes in every game so far. With him now seeming like Tottenham's main man I've had to use another transfer to bring him back in⚪

I brought in Gabriel during my free hit in week 4 and following his 9 point performance I should have chose to transfer him in permanently especially since Arsenal undoubtedly have the best defence in the league, with Gabriel being the heart and soul of their backline and also a huge aerial presence. Since deciding against retaining him, he has averaged a league high 8 points per gameweek🔴⚪

Biggest Underachievers

Florian Wirtz began the season costing £8.5m and has already dropped to £8.1m and has really struggled to adapt to life in the Premier League so far. Coming in as a playmaker for the team who scored the most goals in the league last year, I expected big things and he simply hasn't lived up to his massive summer price tag and so he was transferred out following the 3rd gameweek🔴

Ollie Watkins scored 16 goals last season in the league but to begin this season he has been very subpar. Playing in a Villa team who have been struggling massively for goals is a bit of a worry especially with a tough run of fixtures coming up. Despite blanking all but once, I believe the England striker will find his feet eventually and for that reason I'm taking the risk of keeping him in my line-up🟣
